Music is the Language of the Soul
On the one hand, this programme reflects the multicultural and multinational origins of the individual members of the Trombone Unit Hannover. But it also tells in a very personal and entertaining way about the ensemble's travels to different parts of the world.

Raumklänge
Trombones and large church halls have belonged together for centuries. With this programme, Trombone Unit Hannover creates a surround experience just perfect for large venues. This programme combines sacred and secular music from Gregorian chant, the Renaissance to the 20th century. Some of the works are played from distributed positions in the hall, giving the audience a new and extraordinary listening experience.

Living on the Edge
An ensemble with eight members spread across every corner of Germany and even beyond is, in a way, Living on the Edge already. A concert programme with Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet and Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks, played by eight trombonists is definitely Living on the Edge.

While Gustav Holst sends us on a journey to five planets in our solar system, Trombone Unit Hannover will take you on a stopover with composers from European music history over the last 500 years. In addition to the grand masters Mozart and Bruckner, works by the lesser-known composers Tylman Susato and Kazimierz Serocki will also reveal unexpected parallels to Holst's masterpiece The Planets.
